Prof Ajesh awarded the 2025 Ingham Institute Health Champion award

Professor Ajesh George has been awarded the 2025 Ingham Institute Health Equity Champion Award, a distinction that recognises his leadership in tackling inequities in oral health and improving access to care for communities who are often overlooked in mainstream services. The award is conferred by the Ingham Institute for Applied Medical Research, reflecting the Institute’s longstanding partnership with ACIOH and its commitment to research. 

Through his role with ACIOH and collaborative projects with the Ingham Institute, Professor George has led programs that embed oral health into broader health and community settings, build capacity in non‑dental health professionals, and generate evidence to inform policy and practice. This award underscores the impact of that joint work in advancing health equity and highlights the value of the ACIOH/Ingham Institute collaboration.
