PhD student presents at DANA Annual Conference

Robin presented his PhD study at the recently concluded annual conference of the Drug and Alcohol Nurses of Australasia (DANA).

DANA is the peak professional organisation for nurses, midwives and nurse practitioners dedicated to Alcohol and Other Drug (AOD) care. This year’s theme, “GRIT — Growth, Resilience, Integration and Teamwork.” focused on inspiring advancements and connections in AOD nursing.

Robin's presentation drew interest from figureheads in the AOD workforce, including RNs, Nurse Practitioners, Nursing Managers, and Research Nurses, many of whom expressed explicit interest in being a part of his study. Oral health is of particular importance in AOD care, and Robin's presentation helped highlight the work being done at ACIOH to improve oral health outcomes through integration and collaboration.
